What We Have Learned About Sustainable Opportunities

Thursday, April 17, 2008

LEED, voc's, greenwash, photovoltaics, etc. What is really happening?  In celebration of earth week, we have organized a panel discussion with colleagues who have been working toward sustainable solutions in their related disciplines. The intent of the discussion will be to give a brief overview of sustainable progress to date and then to showcase issues, opportunities, costs, processes, scheduling, "green" leases, and lessons learned.

The highly qualified panel consists of leaders in the industry in corporate real estate, building management/ownership, design and construction. Case studies will be used to illustrate approach and implementation.

Key learning points:

  • Current status of sustainability in corporate real estate
  • What you are already doing right
  • Identifying sustainable opportunities-design solutions
  • What landlords are doing; Structuring a “green” lease;
  • Financial impact of sustainable solutions
    (cost vs. savings)
  • Securing the support needed to succeed
